Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz-1, an exploration well located inside EP-497, was drilled in 1993 to a depth of 600m. The well core samples displayed oil, however suffered from a silica cemented reservoir with a low porosity. Nearby wells Lindsay-1 and Jasper -1 were found to have superb porosity. We believe that there is a high potential for the Santa Cruz structure, possibly spanning 53km² in the Birdrong sands sealed by Muderong shale.
